Business of Selling a Business

Cultivating relationships with business owners is a proven strategy for building and maintaining a financial professional’s book of business. To be an effective adviser to business owners, FPs must understand the business lifecycle. The final stage in that life-cycle is the exit strategy which requires forethought and planning. Please join Jeff Brooks, a wealth strategist with Capital Group and former practicing attorney, as he defines and describes several typical business sales scenarios, the potential benefits and challenges of each, and how advisers can contribute to and generate business from the sales process.

Learning Objectives:

  1.  Provides advisors with a review of the business sale process and identifies opportunities to assist up to and including the liquidity event.
